RxCDManager™ for Windows is a powerful, easy-to-use archiving system for all types of documents, drawings, pictures and similar files. Use RxCDManager™ to create a "snapshot" of your company's data archive, or produce and distribute archive CDs, project documents, catalogues, tender documents etc. In fact use RxCDManager™ for any job requiring the assembly and distribution of any number of files, of almost any format, from any number of sources.
Modern data storage methods enable vast amounts of information to be stored in a very small volume. Using RxCDManager™ the drawings for a large construction project for example, which 10 years ago would have required a room full of archive drawers, can now be stored on one CD ROM. This saves space and is also much more secure than a paper archive. A CD-ROM is much less susceptible to damage than several tens of thousands of paper drawings, and backup copies of an entire archive can be made in a matter of a few minutes. The time taken to find and print a file has also been reduced dramatically. Searches for key information can now be performed electronically, with RxCDManager™ able to search through a hundred thousand records in less than a second. The "wizard" based program enables someone with little or no experience to create a database, register files, and then build a CD containing the database and the files. The database automatically creates links so that searches based on search keys will locate individual files. Viewing files
A built-in viewer enables the person creating the database, and later the user of the CD, to view and print the files in the database. The viewer supports more than 280 of the commonest file formats, so the recipient of the CD does not need the software that was used to create the documents in order to view or print them. Viewing is enhanced with functions including fast zoom, pan, page, Birds-eye view and QuickView support. The powerful printing and plotting engine supports all Windows-based printers and plotters. The viewer can load up to 50 different files simultaneously. QuickViewsThumbnail images called QuickViews can be created for all the files in the database. These are copies of the original data files that have been reduced in size so they can be displayed quickly as you pan through the list of files. Access and licensesRxCDManager™ is now available on CD and will soon be available on the Internet. Without a hardware lock (licenses) you can build any number of projects using any files, though without a hardware lock you can only run the prepared projects within the RxCDManager™ application. You must have a hardware lock containing licenses to build a release CD. However, a release CD can be run on any PC – all the necessary search and viewing applications are included on the CD.
